This week the team has created some rather informative and interesting facts. Enjoy these facts and learn something new about the events occurring in our world.

1. The word “Muscle” originates from the Latin word “Musculus” which means “Little Mouse”. It was named like this because it looked as if a little mouse was moving around in the bicep whenever it was flexed. Try flexing your arm muscle. Strange, right?

2. Born in Italy in 1564, Galileo Galilei is known as the father of observational astronomy and was the inventor of the optical telescope. He discovered Saturn’s rings and the four primary moons of Jupiter which are known as Galilean moons. Have you ever tried to observe our own moon with a telescope?

3. The modern sport of bowling is believed to originate in Germany around the 3rd or 4th century AD. But there are traces that it was invented and played around 3200 BC in Egypt. Do you know how ancient the sport you play is and how it originated?

4. When compared to other big cats, cheetahs are smaller in size and cannot roar. Instead, they purr like house cats. In spite of that, cheetahs are the fastest land animals and can run at an astonishing speed of 75mph and even sprint in mid-air. Which member of the cat family fascinates you the most ?

5. According to research done by the Northwestern University, the human brain can approximately store up to 2,500,000 gigabytes of memory. This is approximately more than 300 years worth of Television shows. A human brain is fascinating, isn’t it?

6. Adidas and Puma were founded by the Dassler brothers, Adolf (Adi) and Rudolf (Rudi). They originally ran a shoe company together but went their separate ways due conflict. Today, Adidas and Puma are two of the biggest shoe manufacturing companies in the world and the biggest rivals of each other.
