Taking the substance or doing the behaviour more than you had intended.
The behaviour is now more important than the other parts of your life. You’re in denial about it. If you try to stop, withdrawal symptoms start to kick in.

You may be suffering from addiction. Addiction is a condition which is characterised by someone’s physical and mental persistent dependence to a particular behaviour or substance.
It is important to note that because this problem alters one’s brain chemistry,it is the basis of Substance Use and Behavioural Disorders which include substances like alcohol, cannabis, nicotine, prescription drugs and any other illicit drugs.
Addictive activities include gambling, gaming, shopping, etc. Basically if your behaviour is affecting your daily life and everything in it, you have a problem.
