This week the team has created some rather informative and interesting facts. Enjoy these facts and learn something new about the events occurring in our world.
1. Laughter can be used as medicine. It brings individuals together in ways that cause the body to go through positive emotional and physical changes. Your immune system is boosted, your mood is improved, your pain is reduced, and you are shielded from the negative effects of stress thanks to laughter.
2. Born in the sleepy hamlet of Yate, J.K. Rowling is regarded as a national treasure of the UK. Harry Potter was rejected by all 12 publishing houses. Once she had secured an agreement, she submitted Harry Potter to Bloomsbury. She has since received the Smarties Award three times in a row.
3. Artificial intelligence, or AI, develops alongside other fields, like the performing arts. Artists are now better able than ever to see how their ideas fit together and are accurate. AI may be utilised to write new music, make original mashups, and even assist in the creation of robotic actors.
4. Europe learned they have had a severe dry hitch and extreme heat since 2015, which caused extensive droughts. The University of Cambridge has conducted a research where they searched for isotopes in the ring of an old oak tree. The cause of the dry spell was human-caused climate change.
5. When the Connecticut Land Company’s surveyors divided Connecticut’s Western Reserve into townships and a capital city on July 22, 1796, Cleveland was founded. They gave their new colony the name “Cleveland” in honour of General Moses Cleaveland, a Revolutionary War hero who served as their leader.
6. Percy Spencer invented the microwave after seeing that a candy bar in his pocket melted when he was once standing next to a magnetron. This made him ponder whether radio wave energy could be utilised to heat food. He put some popcorn kernels close to the tube, and the first microwave popcorn was made.
