- 1. After Turkey’s terrible earthquake, a young girl has been saved 248 hours later. At Kahramanmaraş, a southern city, 17-year-old Aleyna Olmez was rescued from the wreckage. Aleyna endured 10 days of frigid temperatures and injuries. Rescues like hers are getting harder to come by. The 7.8 magnitude earthquake has claimed more than 41,000 lives in Turkey and Syria. Many people are still missing but has not been disclosed by any nation. Turkish network said that Aleyna was carefully removed from the wreckage of an apartment building.
- 2. President Buhari has declared that one of the three currencies would be reintroduced into circulation in an effort to defuse tensions caused by a lack of cash in Nigeria. Violent protests have been occurring as people fought for freshly designed banknotes. The species had an 80% decline in the previous 30 years due to massive deforestation, and it is only found in the wild in the treetops of north-west Madagascar.
