There were two previous launch attempts that were aborted due to technical difficulties.
  2. BBC News Arabic has found that an oil terminal is dumping toxic wastewater into the country’s Red Sea coast. The rare forms of coral that offer anticipation for the preservation of ocean life could be a casualty as the planet warms due to climate change. The BBC and Source Material obtained (a non-profit journalism group) disclose that “polluted water” from Egypt’s Ras Shukeir oil terminal is being dumped into the Red Sea every day (40 000 cubic metres of toxic water). The waste contains high levels of toxins, oil and grease.
  3. A young leukaemia survivor named Ali Julood, who lives on a field co-managed by BP, helped the BBC uncover the truth about the poisonous air. Videos were posted on Twitter in 2019 of clouds of black smoke hovering over people’s homes, a procedure known as gas flaring. Rumaila, in Basra, in southern Iraq, is the world’s worst offender for gas flaring. Gas flaring emits benzene, which heightens the risk for childhood leukemia. Many people in five different communities near such oil fields mentioned someone with either cancer or leukemia.

The headlines this week forwarded by Portugal said that he felt betrayed by the club. The litter found on Ascension Island was traced to various countries, including Japan, China and South Africa. A team from the Zoological Society of London took five weeks to determine the extent of plastic pollution. The island has many species native to it that have been affected, including birds, different shark species, fish and turtles. During the expedition, over 7,000 pieces of plastic were discovered.
  6. According to reports, Twitter staff are forced to either work unreasonable hours or quit due to Elon Musk’s demands. The social media firm’s new owner said via email to staff that workers must agree to the pledge if they are interested in staying, the Washington Post reported.
