1. There are about 20 different kinds of potatoes ranging from white to black in colour. Purple potatoes are one of the healthiest because they have plenty of good nutrients to keep you healthy and help you lose weight. They are normally served in Asian street food markets and enjoyed with tapioca pearls

2. With over 6900 languages in the world, Danish is one of the endagered languages because fewer people use it to communicate as they have adapted to speaking modern English. The president of Denmark plans to restore the native language before it is completely destroyed. Do you think he will succeed?

3. The longest time recorded for holding your breathn is 20 minutes. This record was done by Aleix Segura Vendell, a Spanish freediver. A freediver can go under water without an oxygen tank and rely on the oxygen in their lungs to survive under water. What is the longest time you can hold your breath?

4. You might have been told not to shelter under a tree when there is thunder. This is because trees are negatively charged while lightening is positively charged. Electricity always follows the path of less resistance which means it will hit the easiest, visible object first. In this case it is trees!

5. One of the saddest times in the world was during the Great Depression. People in that time faced recession and lost their businesses because they could not generate any revenue. Many committed suicide and killed their animals because they could not feed them anymore. One farmer killed 3000 of his sheep.

6. In 1868, England developed the world’s first hydroelectric power station. The power station was built primarily to help with laundry and cooking. They were able to heat the water and prepare the roasted meats in this manner. The lamp in the residence was afterwards powered by the power station.
