1.  Humans can only use a small portion of Earth’s water. Water covers 71% of the planet. According to National Geographic, humans use 0.007 percent of water because only 2.5% of the water on Earth is fresh water, and 1% of that is accessible. The remainder is made up of glaciers and snowfields.

2. Albert Einstein’s brain continued to survive for another 20 years after he died. Pathologist Thomas Harvey stole the genius’ body and performed an autopsy on it. Researchers determined that Einstein had a 1.5-times larger brain than the ordinary person, which had thicker fibers and ridges.

3. The figure on the NBA logo used to be a professional basketball player. He goes by the name Jerry West and he is one of several players who have been formaly placed in the NBA Hall of Fame. Jerry West previously played for the Los Angeles Lakers basketball team as the point and shooting guard.

4. Interactions between Earth’s inner and outer cores produce a magnetic field around the globe. This magnetic field is what enables a compass to tell you whether you are facing north or south. It also defends the world against Solar Wind, from the sun, that has the potential to destroy our atmosphere.

5. The shamrock leaf for St Patrick’s Day has three leaves and each leaf represents love, hope, and faith. If you find a shamrock with four leaves in a field of three-leafed shamrocks, you are said to have good fortune as the fourth leaf symbolises luck. Will you be the next lucky one?
