  1. You have heard of ‘elf on the shelf’. Santa Claus uses a particular strategy to deliver presents to children and families isolating due to Covid at a hospital in Lima, Peru. Since these are Covid areas, anyone cannot go in directly, but Santa and the fire brigade provided a solution. Riding on a fire truck’s cherry picker and accompanied by a firefighter, Santa was able to deliver wrapped presents to children leaning out the windows, as health workers on the ground outside cheered and danced.
  2. David Stewart, a wildlife sound recordist, has spent more than 30 years collecting rarely heard sounds of Australia’s wildlife. His bird recordings have been used on the album. When the album was released on 3 December 2021, a social media campaign was launched to get the album into Australia’s Aria music sales charts – and it worked. Songs of Disappearance has made history as it becomes the first album of its kind to chart in the top five.

Their Premier League game at Brighton, scheduled on Sunday has been postponed as well.

It encourages people to have precautionary measures to avoid crime rather than reactionary measures when in an unfortunate situation.
  5. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge chose a family photograph taken on a Jordan visit as the image for their official Royal Christmas card this year. Prince William, pictured in shorts and a khaki polo shirt, is sitting on a gold footstool alongside his wife in a long-sleeved green summer dress. Princess Charlotte and Prince George sit on either side, with Prince Louis in front on a sheepskin-style rug. The festive card is sent to friends, family, associates and their charities.
